These 12 stereographs are the series titled “Les Théâtres de Paris” published by Propriete B. K. On the back of each stereograph, a short explanation is printed in French. This series shows the dramatic scenes of Robert le diable, an opera of five acts composed by Giacomo Meyerbeer. Robert le diable has only a superficial connection to the medieval legend of Robert the Devil. The opera premiered on November 21, 1831 at the Opéra; it was a great success.
